Light Protocol
Reading the Brightness Charts
When reading the chart to the north, east, south, and west, hold the chart with your arms extended above your head to prevent your body from blocking light coming from behind you.
When reading the chart facing the ground, hold the chart with the edge resting against your legs, and your arms extended.
To begin, download the procedure you would like to use, Light Procedure or Sound Procedure, or choose both.
If you need additional sheets to record data, download the accompanying data sheet for that particular procedure.
Read the entire procedure before beginning. There are important steps to take before you actually begin collecting data, such as waiting for the proper time of day or month.
Additional explanations for certain parts of the procedure will be available here, such as properly holding charts.
